Smith & Son Home Builders

John and Matt Smith are a father and son homebuilding team that has more than 55 years experience in all aspects of the home construction process.  Both, father and son, rose through the ranks of regional and national homebuilding companies and became high level managers in those companies.  While this has given them a great deal of experience, it has not allowed them to enjoy their basic love for the land, the lumber, and working face to face with their future homeowners.

Smith and Son Homebuilders  was created in 2006 and has allowed the father and son team  to fulfill their dream of working together and be involved in the day to day decisions in each of the homes they have under construction.   The Smiths truly take pride in each home by building the home as if they were building it for themselves, utilizing the latest technologies when it makes sense, and seeking out the best subcontractors and suppliers.   The nice comments and referrals that they have received from their homeowners reflect their commitment to the care they take throughout the homebuilding process.

John and Matt are currently working out of Lincoln County and are primarily building homes in Hecht Development communities.  They have completed homes in Lakewood and Miners Creek and own building lots in Autumn Woods and James Plantation.  They have just begun construction on two new homes in Wynswept, another Hecht Development community in southeastern Catawba County.

Smith and Son Homebuilders began building in Hecht Development communities in 2006 when they built their first home together in Lakewood.    They have built several more homes since that time and we look forward to them remaining as a “Featured Builder” in Hecht Development communities.
